Embark on a unique 4-day adventure in Cusco. On the first day, we ascend to the Montaña de Colores, at 5,200 m.a.s.l., observing South American camelids and multicolored landscapes. Dinner and overnight at Casa Chillitupa. The second day takes us to the great Waqrapukara complex, enjoying the local flora and fauna. Return and overnight at Chillitupa. On the third day, we explore the spectacular geological formation of Pallay Punchu of the Apu T’akllo and a sky blue lake. Lunch and return to Cusco. Finally, we visit the historic Inca bridge of Q’eswachaka, a Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage, an unforgettable experience awaits you!
After breakfast we will pick you up at your hotels to embark on a two and a half hour trip to Fulawasipata (4,660 m.a.s.l.) from this place we will start our 2 hour hike to the Montaña de Colores, it is very important to take into consideration the altitude of the place (5,200 m.a.s.l.). During the ascent, we will have the opportunity to observe various species of South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, upon arrival you will have enough time to rest, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and take pictures, the mountain will show its stunning colors: red, pink, turquoise, yellow. After lunch in Cusipata, we will start the trip to Combapata, where we will spend the last three nights, resting in harmony with nature. Dinner and overnight at Casa Chillitupa.
Early in the morning and after breakfast, we will begin a journey of approximately two hours to the Qenterococha Lagoon (4,330 m.a.s.l.), from where we will begin our hike to the Waqrapukara complex, in the course of our walk of 3 hours on average, you can appreciate the flora and wildlife of the area; this is a comfortable level for any traveler who likes adventure and scenery. Return to Casa Chillitupa and overnight.
After a well-deserved rest and a comforting breakfast, we will begin our two-hour journey to reach the town of Layo, and then begin the ascent of approximately two and a half hours. Pallay Punchu of the Apu T’akllo, is a large geological mountain formation dyed in various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals; Pallay Punchu means “Andean fabric of a poncho”. This beautiful tour also gives you breathtaking views of colorful landscapes and you can also see a beautiful sky blue lake. Lunch and return to Cusco.
We will start the last day with a delicious and comforting breakfast; we will leave towards the town of Túpac Amaru II and visit his famous house, and then continue to the Inca bridge of Q’eswachaka (3,700 m.a.s.l.), a spectacular engineering work of 30 meters long, made of straw and stone, which is preserved to this day and in 2013 was designated as Intangible Cultural Heritage by Unesco, for belonging to the road network of the Inca Trail and being one of the Inca bridges that still maintains intact its authenticity. Return to Casa Chillitupa, rest and enjoy the lodge facilities.
