Itinerary

DAY 1:

ARRIVAL IN LIMA + CITY TOUR

Upon arrival at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, we will cordially receive you with a sign indicating your name, to take you to your chosen hotel; free time to rest and have lunch.

At 2:00 p.m., the beginning of an exciting tour of the three facets of Lima will be marked: ancestral, colonial and modern. Initially, we will contemplate a panoramic view of the majestic “Pucllana Pyramid”, an ancient Ceremonial Center erected in the 4th century; Next, we will head to the heart of the Historic Center of Lima, exploring the old Lima Square and admiring more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, the Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, the Archbishop’s Palace and the imposing Cathedral Basilica. Today, we will depart from Lima at 05:00 in the morning, embarking on a journey towards the charming beach resort of Paracas, where the serene breezes and tranquility of the sea await. This exciting excursion out to sea will take us to the Ballestas Islands aboard motor ships, equipped with all the necessary safety measures. Along the way, we will witness the famous and monumental geoglyph known as El Candelabro, an ancient guano extraction port and a diverse congregation of sea lions, Humboldt penguins, guano birds and other fascinating marine species.

After breakfast at the hotel and at the most convenient time according to the weather, our staff will pick you up to immerse you in a unique experience by enjoying a flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines, where you will discover the 13 most iconic figures that have fascinated over the centuries.

This exciting aerial tour will take place aboard a small plane, designed with individual seats and panoramic windows, allowing you to capture in images and videos the incredible shapes drawn in the vast Nazca desert, for approximately 35 minutes.

Declared by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site since 1994, these famous lines have captivated millions of people around the world due to their mysterious origin. After noon, we will transfer you to the bus terminal, to begin the return to the city of Lima, arriving approximately at 10:00 p.m.

At the indicated time, we will transfer you 3 hours in advance to the Jorge Chávez International Airport so you can board your flight to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, our transfer driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign indicating your name to take you to your chosen hotel. It is recommended to take a flight arriving in Cusco between 9 and 10 in the morning at most, so that you can rest and have lunch in peace.

We will stop by your hotel between 1:00 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. to begin your tour. After exploring this historical wonder, you can head to the railway station to board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. After breakfast at your hotel, our staff will be waiting for you in the main square of Aguas Calientes to accompany you to the boarding point of the buses that will take you to the entrance of the majestic citadel of Machupicchu. The first section will take around 1 hour and a half to our first stop, near the district of Cusipata (3,310 meters above sea level), here you will enjoy an appetizing breakfast in a restaurant. Next, we will continue approximately 1 hour to Fulawasipata (4,660 meters above sea level), where details about the route will be given.

At the foot of the sacred mountain Ausangate, our walk will begin. ¿CUÁNDO VIAJAR?

Recuerda que puedes visitar Cusco durante todo el año; sin embargo, el clima puede que sea un factor muy importante para considerar. Si quieres aprovechar al máximo tu visita a Cusco, la temporada seca de abril a octubre será la óptima; esto debido a que podrás realizar más actividades al aire libre. Toma en cuenta que si viajas en temporada alta encontrarás gran cantidad de turistas. Por otro lado, durante los meses de noviembre a marzo la temporada de lluvias puede llegar a cancelar el acceso a algunos atractivos.

 

MAL DE ALTURA

Debido a que la ciudad se encuentra por encima de los 3.000 msnm, muchos llegan a experimentar leves mareos, náuseas e incluso dolores de cabeza. En caso llegaras a experimentar alguno de estos síntomas, lo más recomendable es tomar un descanso de unas horas; también existen medicamentos como pastillas e infusiones que puedes tomar en caso lo desees.
